Accountancy Practice

Keith Roberts FCA

Having qualified with a small practice in 1985, Keith worked for a large international practice for seven years where he mainly worked in audit and business services.

His other principal experience included a spell working overseas in Zambia and a nine month secondment as a management consultant, where he worked on assignments at Granada Studios and Pilkington Glass and other financial planning and IT projects.

He is the principal at Egan Roberts concentrating on the business advisory service and day to day liason with clients as well as financial services. He is married with three boys.

Steven Boswell

Steven is the Firm's longest serving member of staff, having been with the Firm since its inception in 1986. He has his own large portfolio of clients, his particular specialist areas being new business start-ups and also professional and medical practices. He is a qualified financial advisor and has considerable experience in most areas of taxation concentrating on all aspects of income tax, PAYE and National Insurance.

Steven who is married to Tracey with two boys is a qualified FA football and ECB cricket coach. He has been a season ticket holder for many years at Blackburn Rovers and has fond memories of the championship winning seasons of 1975 and 1995. In his spare time he can mostly be found playing golf and trying to get his handicap down at Wilpshire Golf Club

Andrew W Jackson FCCA

Andrew has been with the Firm since 1988 and qualified as a Certified Accountant in 1995. He is married to Ruth and has two girls and two Jack Russells. He is treasurer of Clitheroe FC a local non-league football team and when not spending time with his family and walking the dogs enjoys playing Golf and watching a wide variety of sports. He is a member of Clitheroe Wine Society and an avid real ale drinker (hic!).

He now runs a mixed portfolio of clients ranging from sole traders to large private family companies. He is a qualified financial advisor and has particular responsibility within the practice for advising clients on accounting systems, being our SAGE specialist, and the implementation of systems. He now also takes the lead on tax strategies for the firm.

Chris Brown FCCA, ATT

Chris joined the firm in 2002. He qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2002 and as a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians in 2012 .

He specialises in audit and accounts production work.

His main interests are cricket and football and he is a Blackburn Rovers season ticket holder.　　

Martin Rimmer

Martin has been with the firm since 1987. He concentrates mainly on incomplete records, taxation matters and specialises in various accounting software. In his spare time he follows Clitheroe FC, plays crown green bowls at Ribblesdale Wanderers, enjoys local theatrical productions and maintaining his allotment.

Katie Nicholson-Taylor

Katie joined the firm in 2003, from school. She qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2011. She continues to look to expand her knowledge and is currently undertaking further taxation studies.

She carries out audit and accounts production work, with specialist field of work in the medical sector. She is looking to develop her own portfolio of clients.

In her spare time she enjoys going to the cinema with her husband Lee and spending time with her two dogs, a boxer and a Staffordshire bull terrier.

Becky Hindle, Gemma Wacey and Olivia Milligan carry out much of the audit work and prepare sole trader, partnership and small limited company accounts. They also assist in the preparation of self assessment tax returns.

Chloe Schofield is responsible for the preparation of weekly and monthly payrolls assisted by Helen Roberts, Chloe is also responsible for reception and administrative duties together with Karen McGregor.

Financial Services Company

Trevor Young BA, DipPFS, CertsCII(MP&ER)

Trevor has many years experience in Financial Services, having managed Banks throughout the North of England. After joining us in 2006, Trevor has used his expertise to help our clients make the most of their savings, investments and pensions and was appointed a Director of our Financial Services Company in 2011.

Outside work, Trevor tries to keep back the years by regular gym sessions or enjoying time with family. As a keen walker, he may also be found wandering over the Northern hills refusing to admit that he is lost.

Nicola Humphrey

Nicola joined us in 2004 and is the administration manager for our Financial Services Company. She is an expert on group personal pensions.

A keen Rovers fan, Nicola has persuaded her son to support the blues. Given Nicola only wants the best for her family, this is a brave move.
